Barbour Logic appoints new MD

Barbour Logic (BL) is delighted to announce that Fiona Deans has joined as Managing Director. Fiona’s remit is to build on BL’s successes to date and drive the company’s next phase of growth. Previously she was COO of Arts Alliance Media (AAM), a technology and software services provider to the cinema industry. At AAM Fiona oversaw company growth from start up to a leading technology company with 120 employees, revenues of over £50m and customers in the US, China, Asia Pacific, Latin America and across Europe. Before joining AAM she held business development and strategy positions at BBC Online, Atom Shockwave and Bertelsmann.

Jason Barbour will take the new role of Product Director, focusing on building BL’s award-winning product portfolio. As well as developing BL’s existing products – Response Master and RM Self-Serve – Jason will be driving innovation of new solutions for the parking sector and beyond.

‘I am extremely impressed with the accomplishments of Barbour Logic to date,’ said Fiona. ‘It has unique software which delivers clear and measurable benefits to its clients and their end customers, as well as an outstanding reputation for customer service. With the technology and team in place I believe there is enormous potential for growth.’

‘Fiona has a superb track record in business management and growth,’ said Jason Barbour. ‘With Fiona driving Barbour Logic forward, I’m looking forward to focusing on product innovation.’

As part of its growth plans BL has also appointed James Barbour-Smith as Chairman. James has more than 20 years’ experience in private equity, helping businesses achieve ambitious growth strategies.

Fiona joins during a busy and successful period for BL. At the British Parking Awards in March BL won its fourth innovation award, this time the 2016 Intelligent Parking Award for its RM Self-Serve product. The company has recently closed deals for RM Self-Serve with Bradford, London Borough of Harrow, Reading, Tonbridge Wells and Walsall Councils. It has also added Solihull, Croydon, Royal Borough Windsor and Maidenhead Councils as customers of its Response Master product.
